  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or a soy alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive or sesame)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • Once the oil is shimmering, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant—be careful not to burn it!
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Pour in the honey and soy sauce. Stir well to combine and allow the sauce to bubble and thicken slightly, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve hot over rice or your favorite vegetables.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the skillet with a splash of water to preserve the sauce.
