  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Flaky sea salt, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and line it with parchment paper or lightly coat with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl or using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the mashed bananas to the wet ingredients, mixing until incorporated.
  6. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter in the loaf pan, using a spoon or spatula to swirl it into the batter.
  9. Repeat with the remaining batter and salted caramel sauce, creating a marbled effect.
  10. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the top of the batter for an extra burst of flavor.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  12. Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. Once cooled, slice and serve your Salted Caramel Banana Bread as desired. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
