Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  • Mixing bowls
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • 9-inch pie dish
  • Rubber spatula

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
  • 2-3 bananas, sliced

For the Toppings:

  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherries

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Crust:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar.
    • Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture is well combined and resembles wet sand.
    • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Place the crust in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer or stand mixer until smooth and creamy.
    • Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
    • Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  3. Assemble the Pie:
    • Arrange a layer of sliced bananas evenly over the bottom of the chilled crust.
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bananas, smoothing the top with a rubber spatula.
    • Evenly spread the well-drained crushed pineapple over the cream cheese layer.
    • Arrange the sliced strawberries over the pineapple layer.
  4. Chill the Pie:
    • Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  5. Add the Toppings:
    • Before serving, drizzle the chocolate syrup over the top of the pie.
    • Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if using.
    • Add dollops of whipped cream around the edges and place a maraschino cherry on top of each dollop.
