Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  1. Large skillet or frying pan
  2. Spatula
  3. Chef’s knife
  4. Cutting board

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound steak (such as flank steak or skirt steak), thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Sour cream, guacamole, and salsa for serving

Directions:

  1. Season the Steak: In a mixing bowl, toss the thinly sliced steak with taco seasoning until evenly coated.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak slices to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the cooked steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Quesadillas: Wipe out the skillet with a paper towel and return it to medium heat. Place one flour tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded Mexican cheese blend evenly over the tortilla. Arrange a portion of the cooked steak slices on one half of the tortilla, then sprinkle diced tomatoes, diced red onion, sliced jalapeños (if using), and chopped fresh cilantro over the steak. Fold the other half of the tortilla over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
  4. Cook the Quesadilla: Cook the quesadilla for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and gooey. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling ingredients.
  5. Slice and Serve: Remove the cooked quesadillas from the skillet and transfer them to a cutting board. Use a sharp knife to slice each quesadilla into wedges. Serve the loaded steak quesadillas hot, with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side for dipping.
  6. Enjoy: Dive into these flavor-packed loaded steak quesadillas and savor the delicious combination of tender steak, melted cheese, and zesty toppings. Each bite is a mouthwatering explosion of Tex-Mex goodness that will have you coming back for more.

Loaded Steak Quesadillas are a crowd-pleasing favorite that’s perfect for any occasion.
