Ingredients For Korean Country Ribs:

This recipe’s straightforward but tasty ingredients let the ribs shine as the main attraction.

Pork country-style ribs: These delectable ribs come directly from the pork shoulder, rendering them the ideal candidate for a leisurely, gentle cook.

Soy sauce: A key player in achieving a deliciously salty, umami taste, it also doubles as a powerful meat tenderizer, guaranteeing a moist and juicy result every time.

Brown sugar: For that perfect balance of flavors, a sprinkle of brown sugar is added to the soy sauce, which brings a touch of sweetness to the ribs, making it a truly irresistible treat.

Rice wine: The addition of rice wine to the marinade deepens the rib’s flavors and introduces a subtle hint of tartness.

Garlic: The ribs are transformed by the addition of garlic, an essential ingredient in Korean cuisine that infuses the dish with a bold and impactful flavor, elevating it from a basic dish to a truly mouthwatering experience.

Sesame oil: Adding this ingredient to the ribs infuses them with a savory, nutty aroma that brings out the dish’s harmonious flavors.

Red pepper flakes: The incorporation of this essential ingredient introduces a touch of piquancy to the ribs, skillfully leveling out the overt sweetness emanating from the brown sugar.

Green onions: Bringing a burst of lively flavor and a crisp bite, green onions are an essential garnish for any dish that craves a touch of vibrancy.

How to make Korean Country Ribs:

Marinate the ribs: Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice wine, garlic, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl.

Add the ribs to the marinade and make sure they are coated evenly.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight.

Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 325°F.

Bake the ribs: Place the ribs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over the top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 2 hours, until the ribs are tender and juicy.

Broil the ribs: Remove the foil from the baking dish and turn on the broiler. Broil the ribs for 5 minutes, until they are caramelized and crispy on the outside.

My Best Tips for Korean bbq country style ribs:

  • For the finest flavor, marinate the ribs for at least two hours or overnight.
  • Check the ribs’ internal temperature with a meat thermometer. They ought to get to 145°F.
  • Broiling the ribs should be done with caution as they might burn fast. When they are crisp and caramelized, keep a tight eye on them and take them out of the oven.
  • For a well-rounded supper, serve the ribs with steamed rice and veggies.
