Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a decadently rich and fudgy dessert that’s filled and topped with a luscious hot fudge sauce. It’s not heavy or overly sweet either. I think it’s a perfect treat for any chocolate lover, and if you’re not a fan of overly rich desserts, feel free to adjust the sweetness.

When you make a dense and fudgy brownie bread and pair it with a gooey hot fudge topping, you get the perfect treat. The addition of chocolate chips just sends it over the top. I’ve really been in the mood for a rich dessert and this indulgent brownie bread reminds me of cozy evenings and celebrations. Not a fan of chocolate overload? Don’t worry, it’s still delicious with a lighter drizzle of fudge.

Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • 9×5 inch loaf pan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Saucepan

Ingredients:

For the Brownie Bread:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

For the Hot Fudge Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

For the Brownie Bread:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and whisk until well combined.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Hot Fudge Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and butter.
  2. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Let the sauce cool slightly before drizzling over the brownie bread.
