Honey Peach Cream Cheese Cupcakes are delightfully moist and flavorful cupcakes filled with a luscious honey peach cream cheese filling and topped with a light and airy peach-flavored frosting.

They’re not overly sweet, making them a perfect treat for any occasion. If you’re looking for a light & fruity dessert that’s not too heavy, you’ve come to the right place. When you make a soft and tender cupcake and pair it with a creamy, tangy filling and a fluffy peach frosting, you get the perfect cupcake. The addition of honey and fresh peaches just sends it over the top. I’ve really been in the mood for a summery treat, and these dreamy cupcakes remind me of warm, sunny days. Not a fan of peaches? Don’t worry, they’re still delicious with other fruits.

Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  • Muffin tin
  • Paper cupcake liners
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Whisk
  • Saucepan
  • Piping bag or ziplock bag
  • Cooling rack

Ingredients:

For the Cupcakes:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

For the Honey Peach Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 1 cup diced fresh peaches (or canned peaches, drained)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

For the Peach Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup peach puree (blend fresh or canned peaches)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons whole milk (as needed)

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare the Cupcakes:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
    • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
    • Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
    • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a cooling rack.
  3. Make the Honey Peach Cream Cheese Filling:
    • In a small saucepan, combine the diced peaches and honey. Cook over medium heat until the peaches are soft and the mixture is slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Allow to cool.
    • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in the cooled peach mixture.
  4. Prepare the Peach Frosting:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
    • Add the peach puree and vanilla extract, and beat until smooth. Add milk as needed to reach the desired consistency.
  5. Assemble the Cupcakes:
    • Once the cupcakes are completely cool, use a small knife or a cupcake corer to remove the center of each cupcake, making a small well for the filling.
    • Fill a piping bag or ziplock bag with the honey peach cream cheese filling and pipe it into the center of each cupcake.
    • Frost the cupcakes with the peach frosting using a piping bag or a spatula.
  6. Serve: Enjoy these delightful Honey Peach Cream Cheese Cupcakes as a perfect treat for any occasion!
