Kitchen Equipment Needed:
- Large skillet
- 9×13 inch baking dish
- Mixing bowl
- Aluminum foil
- Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced dill pickles
- 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen tater tots
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil and set aside.
- Cook the Ground Beef Mixture: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess grease from the skillet. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked ground beef, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the onion is softened. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for another minute. Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed cheddar cheese soup and Thousand Island dressing. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the Casserole: Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Pour the sauce mixture over the ground beef layer, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the sauce layer, followed by the diced dill pickles. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the casserole.
- Bake the Casserole: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Once baked to perfection, remove the Easy Big Mac Tater Tot Casserole from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy the irresistible combination of flavors and textures in every bite.
