- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 12 lasagna noodles (uncooked)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Cook the Meat:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the lean ground beef (or turkey) with the diced onion until the meat is browned and the onion is soft. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Drain any excess fat.

- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the crock pot. Place a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, breaking them to fit if necessary. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of meat sauce.
