Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks are a delightfully savory treat that’s soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, topped with a blend of melted cheese and aromatic garlic. They’re not heavy or overly greasy either. I think they’re a perfect snack or side for any meal, and if you’re not a fan of garlic, feel free to omit it.

They will still be undeniably delicious! If you’re looking for a comforting and flavorful snack that’s not overly complicated, you’ve come to the right place. When you make fluffy breadsticks and pair them with a cheesy, garlicky topping you get the perfect treat. The addition of fresh herbs just sends it over the top. I’ve really been in the mood for cozy, comforting foods and these dreamy breadsticks remind me of family gatherings and warm, home-cooked meals. Not a fan of garlic? Don’t worry, they’re still delicious without it.

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Parchment paper
  • Rolling pin

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Add Garlic and Oil: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic. Brush this mixture evenly over the dough.
  4. Add Cheese and Herbs: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the dried oregano and parsley on top, and season with a pinch of salt.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Cut into Breadsticks: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Cut the bread into sticks using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
  7. Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
