Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • to taste salt
  • as needed green onions for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing and cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the chicken pieces with black pepper, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Allow it to marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully add the marinated chicken pieces to the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  • Once fully cooked, add salt to taste and give it a good stir to combine everything well.

Serving

  • Transfer the chicken to a serving dish and sprinkle fresh green onions on top for garnish. Serve hot, preferably over steaming rice or with a crisp salad.

Notes

Substitute chicken with turkey or firm tofu for a vegetarian option. Ensure the pan is hot before adding chicken for crispy texture. Don't skip the marinating step for maximum flavor.
