Ingredients

  • 8 flour tortillas
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • To start the cooking process, ensure that the oven is preheated to a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Then, using a large skillet, melt some butter over medium heat.
  • Dice the apples and add them to the skillet with sugar, cinnamon, and water, stirring well to combine.
  • Cook the mixture over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the liquid has thickened, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Remove the frying pan from the heat source and give the mixture some time to cool.
  • Use a spoon to add approximately 1/4 cup of the apple mixture onto each tortilla and wrap it tightly.
  • Apply some grease to a baking dish that measures 9x13 inches and place the rolled tortillas inside it.
  • Let the tortillas bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they turn crispy and slightly brown.
  • For a delicious serving, ensure that it's hot and paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
